Dear Families,
I am very excited to be teaching third grade at Fishcreek Elementary again! I did my student teaching at Woodland and Indian Trail and look forward to meeting my new students, their families, and making lots of new friends! I have been married for five years and we have one cat named Sophia. My husband Jack went through the Stow-Munroe Falls Schools, and his family still lives here after more than 25 years.
When I am not at school I enjoy spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, gardening, listening to a variety of music, going to museums, and attending shows (movies, Broadway, concerts, plays, etc.). Since joining band in the seventh grade, I fell in love with music, and ever since that time, I have always appreciated all forms of art. I feel that art is a very important part of developing a variety of skills that can broaden the horizons for many students and help them learn. Therefore, I look forward to integrating the arts into my lesson plans whenever possible.
Three summers ago my husband and I spent two weeks in Europe (our second time to Italy!), first spending a week with family in Croatia, then a week with friends in Italy. I believe that having multi-cultural experiences opens the minds, hearts, and eyes of children and adults alike. We can learn so much about the world around us, appreciate different languages, traditions, cultures, and make friends from all walks of life.
If there is anything you need or questions you may have, please do not hesitate to ask. I look forward to spending time with your child, getting to know them and you.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Baumann
